Nicole Lermitte, Esq.

Nicole T. Lermitte earned her law degree after graduating cum laude from the American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. While in law school, she focused her studies on criminal defense and courtroom advocacy. Nicole was selected to serve as Vice President of the prestigious American University Mock Trial Honor Society and ranked in multiple nationwide mock trial competitions for her skills in oral advocacy and knowledge of the rules of evidence.  Nicole also served as a Dean’s Fellow in the Trial Advocacy Program and participated in the Criminal Justice Clinic at American University where she won her first trial as a law student.   

Prior to attending law school, Nicole attended the Illinois Math and Science Academy, a highly selective high school for gifted students.  After high school, Nicole studied at Washington University in St. Louis on a merit-based scholarship where she earned her Bachelors in Science and Business Administration.

Nicole has over 15 years of experience representing clients and has handled thousands of cases from beginning to end with successful outcomes. Nicole approaches each and every case with care and diligence, delivering comprehensive and high-quality legal advice and aggressive advocacy at each stage. Nicole feels strongly about maintaining constant communication with her clients and provides her cell phone so that she is available to her clients even when out of the office. Nicole also served as a law clerk at the Court of Common Pleas where she assisted the Court in all aspects of a variety of issues including criminal court, family law, civil litigation, and dependency matters.

At Lermitte & Lubin, Nicole’s practice is focused on criminal defense and family law matters. In her criminal practice, Nicole has earned not-guilty verdicts for her clients in many jury trials involving charges of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, possession of controlled substances, possession of paraphernalia, criminal use of a communication facility, failure to register, aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, firearms offenses, and theft.  Nicole has also earned dismissals at preliminary hearings, rule 600 motions, protection from abuse hearings, and revocations of probation and parole.

In her family law practice, Nicole uses her expertise in the law and refined skills in courtroom advocacy to achieve optimal results for her clients in matters of child custody and divorce.  Nicole has successfully litigated petitions for special relief, motions for contempt, petitions to modify custody, and motions for child and spousal support to the benefit of her clients and their children.

Nicole is admitted to practice before our Pennsylvania Courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Nicole proudly represents clients in Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Carbon, Schuylkill, and Monroe Counties. She can be contacted 24/7 via cell phone and is available for jailhouse visits and to provide immediate representation at the police station or for bail hearings.
